Daily Life in Venice for Families
In 2.5 hours, this walk is designed specifically for families and takes place largely within an area of Venice that tourists rarely visit in the neighborhoods of San Polo and Dorsoduro. The focus is the lives of Venetian families, both historically and in present times. We’ll talk about costumes, games, processions, and traditions and will visit a Carnival mask maker. We’ll sample Venetian cookies, see a gondola boat yard, hunt for treasures in one of the largest churches in Venice, and end our tour at one of the most famous gelato shops in the city!
Highlights of the Venice Biennale
Held from June 1 to mid-November every two years, the focus is on contemporary art. We’ve curated a special selection from the many of the architecture exhibitions located throughout Venice during the Biennale. We will visit to at least 4 country pavilions/collateral events on this 3-hour walking tour.
We also offer multi-day tours that feature hands-on arts and crafts.
