Uzo Njoku (b. 1996) was born in Lagos, Nigeria and moved to the United States at the age of 7. Njoku currently lives and works in NYC. In 2019 she received her BA from the University of Virginia in Studio Art. She incorporates intricate Ankara patterns to juxtapose her figures within the composition. Additionally, Njideka Crosby, Kehinde Wiley, and David Hockney influence Njoku.
